High-profile school board races are garnering attention this primary election, too. Both are running unopposed in their respective primaries. Republican incumbent David Lozier is running for a third term as Beaver County’s top prosecutor, for example, while Democratic attorney Nathan Bible plans to challenge him this November in the race for Beaver County District Attorney. While few of these positions are contested in the primary, many will be hard-fought in the November election. In Beaver County, a number of key row office seats are on the ballot this year, including coroner, district attorney, treasurer and sheriff, as well as the Beaver County Board of Commissioners. Pennsylvania voters will cast ballots Tuesday to pick their parties’ nominees for county row offices, statewide courts and local mayoral, council and school board seats in the municipal primary.
